We encourage you to bring your problem burner to our Wixom location (or ship it to us) so we can place it on the test stand and get it back to factory specifications.
When it comes to our heaters, we have training programs directing you how to troubleshoot any problem and provide the correct replacement parts as required. Please call if you need further assistance.
The most common causes are a leak in the tube system, a failed vacuum switch, a worn pump motor or impeller, or a blocked exhaust. Start by checking tube joints and clamps for leaks, then verify the vacuum switch is calling correctly. If the pump runs but will not pull rated vacuum, the impeller or motor is usually the issue. We stock vacuum pumps, motors, and switch kits.
The model and serial number are on the data plate, usually on the burner box or control housing. If the plate is missing or unreadable, photograph the burner assembly, the tube and reflector arrangement, and any visible controls, and send them to us. We can usually identify the series from the burner configuration alone.
Some are and some are not. Controls, ignition components, and certain switches carry across series, while burners, tubes, and reflectors are generally series-specific. Send us your model number before ordering and we will confirm the correct part.
